Care delivery and EVV

Make the visit record useful from the field to the back office.

Connect the schedule, visit verification, assigned work, documentation, exceptions, review, and downstream billing without asking teams to rebuild the record.

What changes

A visit is more than a timestamp

EVV captures required visit facts. Agency operations still need to understand whether service began as expected, required work was documented, an exception needs review, and the record is ready to move forward.

Connected capabilities

Each part of the workflow keeps its context, boundaries, and accountable owner.

01

Give caregivers a focused visit flow

Receive only the follow-up needed for that visit.

  • See the current schedule and visit instructions.
  • Verify arrival and departure through supported methods.
  • Review assigned activities and capture completion or exception context.
  • Review required information before final submission.
02

Turn exceptions into owned work

Late starts, location mismatches, missing records, incomplete tasks, unplanned changes, and failed transmissions need different responses. Ethiya should show the exception type, evidence, owner, due time, resolution options, and downstream effect.

03

Preserve the original record

If AI helps structure, polish, translate, or summarize documentation, the caregiver's original input remains available. Generated content is labeled, and the accountable reviewer can change or reject it.

04

Carry verified work forward

Once a visit is reviewed, the same record should support client history, family communication, authorization use, billing, payroll, claims, and audit evidence according to permission and policy.

Exact EVV support

Treat EVV support as exact, not generic

Federal EVV requirements create a baseline, while implementation varies by state, program, payer, aggregator, and service. Ethiya documents a precise, dated support matrix during evaluation instead of promising universal compliance.

Questions to ask

Clear answers belong in the evaluation.

Does Ethiya support EVV in every state?+

Do not assume universal support. Ethiya should provide a current matrix of states, programs, aggregators, methods, and limitations for the release being evaluated.

Does the caregiver experience work offline?+

Offline behavior must be confirmed for each visit action and device. The website should not use “offline capable” until clock, task, note, attachment, and sync behavior are demonstrated.

Can caregivers use a landline?+

Telephony or IVR verification is a separate capability from mobile EVV and must be listed only where supported.

Can AI complete a note for the caregiver?+

AI may prepare or refine a draft, but the caregiver or authorized reviewer remains responsible for confirming the record. The original input should remain available.
